Here is a sample monthly e-newsletter that I write for a law firm.
The alarm goes off early day after day so that you can run a couple miles before going to work. Maybe you arrive home from work worn and weary, but you still manage to find the gumption to lift some weights after dinner before calling it a day. Fitness is important to you.
Many Americans rightfully make fitness a priority in their lives. Maintaining healthy bodies only results from hours of exercise and the routine of discipline . . . daily, weekly, monthly. The cost of fitness is high—in personal effort and possibly monetary commitment—but the reward makes it all worthwhile.
According to the IHRSA, in 2013 there were 30,000 gyms, health clubs, or fitness centers located in the United States. And the IHRSA reports that the 60,000 Americans who used those facilities on a regular basis resulted in a total annual revenue of over $20 billion. Yes, our society values fitness.
While the determination to stay in shape is applaudable, nonetheless, people can experience unforeseen setbacks in their personal fitness. For example, those who have experienced or have known a friend who experienced an accident know firsthand the frustration of dealing with pain.
Following an accident, it is important for you to go to urgent care even if you’re only a little sore. Many times pain doesn’t come on until the next several days or even several weeks. It is also important that you get proper rest after a wreck and take time off work if you need it.
When someone is injured in a car accident, his or her world is turned inside out in an instant. Even the most seasoned athlete will find it difficult to deal with all the pain and inconvenience at such a time. You shouldn’t jump back into working out too soon because you could injure yourself even more.
Your injury is about more than just a financial setback, although that is a major consideration as you put the pieces back together and deserve compensation for your pain and suffering. But most importantly, you need quality care and someone to fight for your best interests and health concerns.
For example, it is in your best interest to not give the at-fault driver’s insurance company a statement as this is never for your benefit. Notify your own insurance and seek the right attorney, even if it’s only for a free consultation. The following are some considerations when seeking an attorney:
- Make sure the attorney specializes in accident-related cases and is not just a “jack-of-all-trades-but-master-of-none” attorney.
- Make sure the attorney has experience with these cases at a high level.
- Make sure you’re comfortable with the attorney and his staff because you will work as a team and want to be sure it’s a team you like being on.
- Make sure the attorney has trusted medical providers that can help you in case you don’t have health insurance or the health insurance refuses to pay.
